I WAIT
I wait with anticipation I wait with expectation I know I am weak, I come now and seek The Existing One, All Knowing One Will renew me
Renew me, change me Holy Spirit pass through me Help me to grow Help me to know That I can go on from here
I have no strength on my own No power to renew alone I admit I am weak, I come now and seek The Existing One, All Powerful One To strengthen me
Renew me, change me Holy Spirit pass through me Help me to grow Help me to know That I can go on from here
I long to ascend to the heights Like an eagle ready for flight I may become weak, I ask and I seek The Existing One, All Powerful One
To soar with me
You created me, You know me I wait, and You renew me
You created me, You empower me I hope, and You strengthen me
You created me, You lift me I trust, and You soar with me
Renew me, change me Holy Spirit pass through me Help me to grow Help me to know That I can go on from here

DEBRIS
Battered and beaten Wind blown and worn. Soaked from the rain My branches are torn.
Parts of me falling Laying on the ground. Debris piled high A reason I found.
When debris rots Seedlings move in. Amazing, I know, New growth begins.
Hard to imagine In the midst of it all. Good things can grow When parts of me fall.
Clear all the damage? Impossible you see. Some must remain It just has to be.

MY VOICE
I hear the music, but can’t make a sound. I open my mouth, my voice can’t be found.
A gift I received, with intentions to share. The thief came to steal, without any care.
Darkness surrounds me, I don’t see the reason. I’m lonely and cold, in my voiceless season.
I long to raise, my anthem high. To soar as the eagles, spread my wings and fly.
Then it happened, the sun warmed the earth. Something stirred in me, a feeling of worth.
With a great crescendo, the sky became clear. I felt something leave me, I believe it was Fear.
My mind began to race, I heard a new song. Do I dare try, it had been so long.
With eyes closed I sense, the presence of the King. And opened my heart,
a new song I did sing.
